What is the AHS Societies training weekend?

The societies training weekend is for Societies’ committees and prospective committee members to receive training in how to run an AHS society. Training may be provided by both the AHS internally and external groups. Subjects covered can range from how to run effective meetings, to campaigning, to public speaking, and how to make use of the AHS grant scheme. The societies training weekend aims to re-emphasise the basics of running an organisation for those new to it and provide something that will be new and stimulating for those with more experience. In addition to training the weekend features some evening entertainment and opportunities to socialise and network with your fellow AHS society leaders.

Here is a PDF of the Delegate_Pack for attendees of this event, including schedule, maps, motions, manifestos, and more. (Printed versions will be provided)

Extraordinary General Meeting

The second day of the Societies training weekend will feature an EGM at which the new AHS Head of membership will be elected. Manifestos for Those Running to be head of membership can now be found on the AHS blog.

Accommodation is being provided in the Endcliffe Student village, and training events will be held in the Diamond.
